Assembling Kids Trikes
In all actuality, trikes are a lot easier to assemble than bikes are. At anytime that you are assembling kid's trikes; you are going to need the tricycle, three-in-one oil, bicycle helmets, adjustable wrenches, bike pumps, tricycle horns, and tricycle bells. 1. First let's begin by taking the kids trike out of the box, and separate out all of the parts. You should set aside the bolts, nuts, wheels, frame, and handlebars.
2. Secondly, you should attach the wheels. You want have any problem identifying the front wheel because it is larger than all of the others and it should have the pedals attached already. Now you will slip the front wheel right into the front fork. You will find the front fork located at the very front of the bike. Then all you have to do is slip the wheels into the slots located at the very bottom of the fork and all that is left is to tighten each of the nuts located around the pedal crank.
3. Now you will need to slip the wheels for the rear onto their axles, tighten all of the bolts. Make sure that you spin all of the wheels and make sure that they are all rotating freely. In the event that their not, you should loosen all of the bolts a quarter turn on each of the wheels.
4. Install the seat within the top of the frame, then make sure that tighten down the bolt in the seat but make sure that the seat is within a low position. As necessary, you may raise the seat but you need to make sure that you remember that the child legs have to be able to extend out to reach the pedals as if it was the floor.
5. Push all of the handlebars into the tube that is located right above the front wheel. At this time, you will need to tighten the metal ring that is located between the font wheel and the handlebars.
6. Slide on the grips for the handlebars, and if you just so happen to have them, you should tape some of the streams onto the very end of the handlebars.
7. Now its time to pump up the tires, if it is necessary, the recommended pressure is normally around twenty to thirty pounds.
Whenever you are assembling kid's trikes, it is always important to remember that a little oil will help each of the wheels to spin better, but if you use too much oil, or either heavy grease, it is inevitably going to end up all over your child. Before allowing your child to take off, you should make sure that the handlebars are tightened down completely and that your child is wearing a helmet.
